By the decision of the Central Election Commission of May 10 this year, the start of the campaign for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was announced.
In this regard, preparations for the upcoming political event are in full swing in Uzbekistan.
The XIII Congress of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was held.
It was attended by delegates from the regions, members of the Central Council of the party, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, experts, and media representatives.
At the congress, issues of nominating a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and his program were considered.
It was emphasized that the early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan would be held openly and transparently based on new principles of national electoral legislation, and generally recognized international standards. During the election campaign, a healthy competitive environment and equal conditions will be provided for all political parties and their candidates.
At the plenum of the Central Council of the Party held on May 12 this year, it was decided to nominate the Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Ulugbek Ilyasovich Inoyatov.
After that, in accordance with the Election Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the authorized representative of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan submitted documents to the Central Election Commission with a request for permission to participate in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Having studied the documents, the Central Election Commission permitted the participation of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in the Presidential elections on July 9, 2023.
The party activists supported the candidacy of Ulugbek Inoyatov. At the congress, it was decided to nominate Ulugbek Inoyatov as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
The candidate’s program was discussed in detail at the congress. The program of the candidate from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was approved.
The issue of nominating a candidate for the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from this party was considered at the extraordinary congress of the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat”.
The congress was attended by delegates from the regions, members of the Central Council of the party, deputies of the party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, party activists, experts, and media representatives.
All delegates participated in the voting on the nominated candidate Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna.
After that, the candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Social Democratic Party “Adolat” Robakhon Makhmudova spoke about the goals and objectives, priority areas of the election program.
Issues included in the candidate’s election program were discussed in detail. It was noted that an important issue facing the activists of the party is to convey the essence of the election program of the presidential candidate to citizens.
Also, the 4th Extraordinary Congress of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan was held.
Abdushukur Hamzaev, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Central Council of the Party, was supported as a candidate for the position of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Environmental Party of Uzbekistan.
Also, the candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdushukur Hamzaev, presented the main directions of his pre-election program to the attention of the delegates.
