LG Electronics Inc., a South Korean home appliance maker, on Monday released a new line-up of cordless vacuum cleaners in a bid to expand its presence in the global market.
Comprised of the CordZero A9, CordZero T9 and CordZero R9, the new collection provides a powerful and user-convenient experience, the company said.
The latest cordless vacuums are equipped with the so-called smart inverter motor, which guarantees maximum performance with high efficiency and durability in a compact size, according to LG.
LG Electronics said that the motor's suction power is among the world's best.
The new products use batteries produced by its affiliate LG Chem Ltd., one of the world's largest rechargeable battery makers.
Of the new releases, CordZero R9 is a robot cleaner that is controlled by a smartphone through a wifi connection, and even by voice, LG Electronics said.
The appliance maker has been selling cordless vacuum cleaners since 2014 in 30 countries. The sales of cordless appliances accounted for half of all vacuum cleaners sales last year, with its global sales growing at an annual rate of 20 percent. (Yonhap)
