Calls international community to condemn threat to peace, stability in Korea
The Government of Costa Rica strongly condemned the launching of missiles by the Democratic People's Republic of (North) Korea.
Loyal to its tradition of peace and strict conviction that dialogue is the only tool for the peaceful resolution of conflicts, Costa Rica expresses its support to the political vision and initiatives advanced by the Republic of Korea, as the recent “Berlin Initiative”.
Costa Rica also recognized the Republic of Korea´s leadership to obtain peace in the Korean Peninsula and its sincere commitment to reestablish dialogue between the two Koreas to deter tension in the region and take action regarding the urgent humanitarian situation.
Costa Rica calls for the international community to continue condemning the threats against peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula, and to continue adopting urgent and strong legal measures to control this threat.
