GM Korea Co., the local unit of General Motors Co., said Monday its September sales retreated 10.7 percent from a year earlier due to contracted domestic demand.
The carmaker sold 40,264 vehicles under the Chevrolet badge, down 10.7 percent from the same month last year, according to GM Korea.
Monthly domestic sales plunged 36.1 percent on-year to 8,991 units in September, while exports edged up 0.8 percent on-year to 31,273.
In the January-September period, GM Korea said its combined sales declined 7.5 percent on-year to 401,980 units. (Yonhap)
