Serbia a first European country to form ties with Korea

The Postal Authority of the Republic of Serbia has issued a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Korea.

The Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea on Dec. 27, 2014 marked the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Serbia was among the first countries in the Central and Eastern Europe to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea.

Over the two and a half decades, Korea and Serbia have built up good and friendly relations, which are a solid foundation for further development of relations, cooperation and friendship.

According to the Embassy of Serbia in Seoul, the country sees Korea as one of its main partners and friends in Asia and remains firmly committed to raising the level of overall cooperation, especially in the economic field.
