There have been three new cases of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), two new deaths and 50 persons who have been cured of the disease and released from hospital. This was announced by the Central MERS Control Headquarters (CMCH) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MHW) today.

The MERS control authorities announced that as of 6 a.m. June 22, 2015, the total number of confirmed MERS cases have come to 172, seven newly cured persons (29.1% of the total number of cases), two new deaths bringing the total to 27 (15.7% of the total number of cases) and that there has been a decrease of six persons from the total number of MERS cases (95 persons or 55.2% of the total) presently undergoing treatment.
