To promote cooperation in beauty pageant for married women

The Mrs. World Pageant Korea OrganizingCommittee and The Korea Post signedan agreement at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel on Aug. 14, 2016 providing forcooperation in the English media coverage of the event. The Pageant isscheduled to be held in Seoul in November this year.

Signing the agreement from the Mrs. WorldPageant Korea Organizing Committee was Chairperson Ms. Jacqueline Song and fromThe Korea Post was Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik. Witnessing the signingceremony were a number leaders of the Committee, including Ms. Kim Yun-kyung (winnerof the 2016 Mrs. Korea World Pageant Korea held at the Prima Hotel in Seoul onJune 5, 2016.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, ChairmanLee of The Korea Post said that the Mrs.World Beauty Pageant would greatlycontribute to the promotion of understanding, friendship and cooperationbetween Korea and the different countries of the world.

On the part of her organization,Chairperson Song of the Organizing Committee said, “There are a number ofdifferent beauty pageants held in Korea, but most of them are for young women,and I would say that it is meaningful that we provide an equal opportunity tomarried women in the world as well as in Korea.”

The Mrs. World Pageant has a total of 80different countries as members and of this number an estimated 60 countries areexpected to participate in the Mrs. World Pageant slated in Seoul in November thisyear.

Chairperson Song said, “I would say that thepageant would provide Korea with a valuable opportunity to bring the countrycloser to the world as the event would be attended not only by the candidatesof the Mrs. World Beauties but also their children, friends and parents as wellas media representatives from around the world as well as Korea.
