Why's Insanga salt 121 times the price of normal premium salt of Korea's leading food makers?

The price of premium table salt of leading Korean food companies is around 2,000-3,000 won per kilogram, namely, Hanju salt is 1,850 won, Chungjungwon salt 3,200 won, Emart salt 3,960 Won and CJ salt 6,870 won.In a striking contrast, the Insanga bamboo salt is 219,000 won for the same quantity, which is about 121 times the price of average premium salt of Korea's leading food companies. Why is that? Answers at the end of this Headlines.

Bamboo Salt is priced 121 times higher than the premium salt of other leading Korean food companies as it is fire-processed nine times inside a kiln in temperatures ranging around 1,600 degrees, is molten and turned into ‘Salt Jewel,’ which then is turned into powder or granula form.

Very diplomat-friendly Chairman Kim Yun-se of the Insanga Health Promotion Estate in cooperation of the Government of Hamyang County of Gyeongsangnam-do Province cordially invites the Excellencies, Madams and other Senior Members of the Diplomatic Corps to a 1-night-2-day tour of the Health Promotion Center on 15-16 October 2014 to expand his knowledge and expertise of traditional Korean health promotion formula and facilities to various countries of the world for mutual benefit. ‘Nine-time-roasted Yongyong Salt Jewel’: This ‘Salt Jewel’ is made by putting natural salt from sundried salt farm into a bamboo cane. The cane is sealed with red clay at both ends and is roasted (burnt) inside a kiln (furnace). The salt bar (now with the bomboo as it has been burnt away) is roasted (burnt) seven more times and then finally for the ninth time it is burnt in a temperature of 1,600 degrees. The salt then is molten like the molten iron ore from inside the furnace. This molten bamboo salt is named Yongyong Salt meaning ‘Salt Jewel’ which is presented as a souvenir to each ambassador and other senior diplomat taking part in the tour for its introduction to their county for the health of their people.

Earthen jars at Insanga Health Promotion Estate where a variety of traditional Korean soybean sauces and pastes made with bamboo salt (priced 121 times higher other premium salt) are preserved for fermenting and storage. Some of them are many years old and experts say that the older they are the better the health promoting efficacy of the fermented foods. Please scroll down to the down for the details of the Invitation.-------------------------------------------

Here is today’s ration of humor from Korean-language business dailies of this morning:

There was this bonehead in a row boat in the middle of the desert rowing this boat. In the middle of this desert there was a road. A man was driving down the road and saw the bonehead, he stopped his car got out and yelled, "You're the shame to all of our species!! If I could swim, I'd go out there and kick your ass!!!"

When the old man answered the door, he saw before him a beautiful young woman. “I have a present for you,” she said. “I’m here to give you super sex,” she said in a whisper. The old man wearily shook his head and said. “No, thanks. You see, I’ve completely forgotten and don’t know how to do it.”-----------------------------------------------

Insanga makes 'bamboo salt,' runs health-promoting facilities

World’s first Bamboo Salt Co. and Insan Food founded by Dr. Insan Kim Il-Hun

Insanga Co., Ltd., established in 1987, produces Jukyeom (literally, Bamboo Salt), which is very popular in Korea for its health-promoting effect. However, Insanga is better known for a health promotion program that includes a health tour of various facilities at the Insanga Estate noted for clean air coming from dense forest and a village of traditional Korean nobilities of the past dynasties.

▲Insanga has many health-promoting facilities and operates various interesting programs aimed for the enhancement of health of the people.Insanga is a legendary company in terms of development and production of Jukyeom (Bamboo Salt). It was the first company in Korea to make Jukyeom. Insanga also makes a variety of traditional Korean fermented sauces. Together with Jukyeom, the annual turnover of Insanga totals 16.5 billion won (US$1.54 million) and the number of members total 110.▲Insanga secures salt materials from sun-dried natural salt field for the health of consumers.Insanga also operates Insan Training Center, Jiri Mountain Trail Lodge and a Cultural Center in Insan-dong Antique Street in the heart of the Capital City of Seoul.▲Earthen jars at Insanga health-promotion estate where a variety of traditional Korean soybean sauces and pastes are preserved for fermenting and storage.

There are many other institutions operated by Insanga and they include Insan Life Science Institute where various products of Insanga are tested for highest product quality. In a recent interview with The Korea Post, Chairman & CEO Kim Yun-se of Insanga said that Insanga was the ‘Home of Bamboo Salt’ and that the dream of Insanga was to help people live 100 years and beyond, which was the corporate philosophy of Insanga. Here are excerpts from the interview:▲Insan Bamboo Salt BuildingInsan Food was established on Aug. 27, 1987 by Master Insan Ilhun Kim (his father) to pass on the wisdom and philosophy aimed at the promotion of health of man.Q: What was the occasion for commercializing the bamboo salt-A: Insanga started commercializing the bamboo salt with the belief and evidence that salty foods are good for health only if and when the foods are made with good quality salt. We developed, produced and commercialized our bamboo salt with that aim.▲photo shows the statue of Founder Kim Ilhun of Insanga standing by a Buddhist temple building.Q: We understand that you have a number of interesting programs for the promotion of man’s health.A: Yes, we have the Insan Training Institute which is designed to help the participants recover from the ill effects of physical and mental fatigue. At the same time, they can benefit from good healing effect deriving from company, friends and family members.▲photo shows a kiln where salt is burnt in bamboo canes. Q: Please explain a bit more on Insanga-A: Insanga is the home of Bamboo Salt. It is Korean-style ‘Green Company’that is based on traditional Korean ideals. It is predicated on the innovative idea that “it is good to take in certain amounts of high-quality Salt.” This is a significant challenge to the world's conventional idea that salted food has harmful effects to the human body.▲A pond in the Insanga Health-promoting Estate nestled in a densely forested mountain where air is very clean for the health of the people coming for healing practices. Bamboo Salt is used in all foods that are served to the guests.

We have taken steps to further the science concerning the consumption of natural Korean-made elements and this is in pursuance of principle of late Dr. Kim Ilhun, the founder of Insanga. Insanga began commercializing the world's first Bamboo Salt in 1987.Q: Would you elaborate on the development of Bamboo Salt-A: Since its establishment, Insanga has been placing great emphasis on using the best quality products and continue technical development so as to ensure perfect quality and safety of products.
