Promotional campaign ‘Purple in Your Heart 2016' at THE PLAZA Seoul

Luxury boutique hotel THE PLAZA Seoul, Autograph Collection (, operated by the hotel division of Hanwha Hotels & Resorts (CEO Yeongcheol Kim) holds <Purple in Your Heart 2016>, a donation campaign for sharing goodness with others from December 9th 2016 to January 31st 2017. The most noticeable change in this year's campaign is that a portion of the proceeds is au

tomatically donated upon purchasing a room package, restaurant event deal or product from the flower shop Xystum and others.

‘Purple in Your Heart’, which marks its fifth year this year, is a year-end charity campaign that adds the value of 'sharing' to the hotel's signature item 'Plaza Teddy Bear' to fulfill a corporate social responsibility. Every year, the hotel introduces a teddy bear specially made in collaboration with the Teddy Bear Museum to raise donations. With this year's event, 'Santa Claus Plaza Teddy Bear', a newly designed version of the hugely popular Plaza Teddy Bear, is offered for a limited time to celebrate the first anniversary of the strategic alliance between Marriott International's luxury lifestyle brand 'Autograph Collection' and THE PLAZA Seoul, Autograph Collection.

The Santa Claus Plaza Teddy Bear will be sold from December 9th 2016 to January 31st 2017 and is available for purchase at the hotel's front desk, restaurants, Xystum and Eric Kayser. The price is KRW 40,000 (including tax). All proceeds will be donated to Compassion Korea and the donated funds will be used to support 'Kids Care Project, Season 1' to improving the lives of children in a sister town.

You can participate in ‘Purple in Your Heart 2016’ not only by purchasing a teddy bear but also through offers from the hotel, including winter package deals, restaurant events and Xystum teddy bear package deals. Firstly, ▲the room package deals are linked to the donation campaign through the winter collection packages and holiday collection package deals. Every package deal includes a one-night stay in a stylish room designed by Italian architectural interior designer Guido Ciompi, as well as Pierre-Auguste Renoir exhibition tickets, an in-room dining course menu and other benefits, depending on the deal. Additionally, access to the Plaza Fitness Club and indoor swimming pool, which looks over the CBD and Nam Mountain, is available at no additional charge to guests who purchase deals. Other benefits include Marriott Reward points and a Nespresso machine with three coffee capsules placed in your room. Package deal prices start at KRW 220,000 (not including tax and tip).

Secondly, the restaurant events are held by three fine dining restaurants inside the hotel for five days on December 23th, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st. Multicourse meals for two people prepared by executive chefs of Chinese restaurant Taoyuen, Japanese restaurant Murasaki and Italian restaurant Tuscany will be offered along with a teddy bear. The prices start from KRW 180,000 (including tax and tip). Lastly, the boutique flower brand 'Xystum' located on LL Floor of the hotel offers Xystum Teddy Bear package deal, which includes the Santa Claus Plaza Teddy Bear and a flower pot prepared by the executive florist during the campaign period. The price of the package deal, which is perfect for a year-end or New Year's gift, starts at KRW 600,000 (including of tax).

The hotel representative who organized 'Purple in Your Heart 2016' said "The hotel's signature donation campaign Purple in Your Heart is one of the programs our hotel carries out to fulfill our corporate social responsibility as a five-star hotel representing Korea." The representative added "As we receive many overseas inquiries about purchasing the Plaza Teddy Bear in relation to the program each year, we will continue to make an effort to develop various teddy bear designs and choose appealing charity concepts to more successfully implement the donation project."
