Hanmi Science, the holding company of Hanmi Pharm Group, said in a board meeting on Sept. 28 that it has appointed Song Young-sook, chairman of Hanmi Pharm Group, as its CEO.
Accordingly, Hanmi Science will be jointly run by new CEO Song and former CEO Im Jong-yoon as their respective CEOs.
CEO Song was appointed chairman of the Hanmi Pharm Group on August 10 after serving as chairman of the Gahyeon Cultural Foundation and adviser of Hanmi Pharm (in charge of CSR).
Prior to the board meeting, Hanmi Science held an extraordinary shareholders' meeting and appointed Chairman Song and Lim Joo-hyun, vice president of Hanmi Pharm's Global Strategy and HRD, as registered directors of Hanmi Science.
"We expect Hanmi Science to create synergy in management and decision-making by combining the different capabilities and experiences of co-CEOs Song Young-sook and Lim Jong-yoon, which will serve as a driving force behind the further growth of Hanmi Pharm Group as a holding company," Hanmi Science said.
