The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Seoul, held a meeting with the Korean Association for Export and Import (KOEXIMA) via online on Friday, February 5, 2021, to discuss ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and the ROK, as well as investment opportunities in the UAE.
During the meeting, His Excellency Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Seoul, mentioned that the relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea lasted 40 years, during which it was promoted to become a special strategic partnership that includes cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
His Excellency the Ambassador stressed that the strategic relations between the two countries led to cooperation in many economic, commercial cultural projects, which included the oil sector, tourism, technology and clean energy, as the bilateral cooperation culminated in the completion of the peaceful nuclear energy project(Barakah), adding that he would seek to achieve the strategic goals of the United Arab Emirates and he looks forward to entering into more economic and commercial partnerships between the two countries.
The meeting was an important opportunity to discuss expectations from UAE Embassy for the year 2021, related to commercial, diplomatic and cultural ties with Korea, and its expectations about KOEXIMA Action Plan for 2021, as well as possible synergies and join activities between KOEXIMA-UAE for the coming year 2021, and to highlight the UAE’s Preparation for the Next 50 Years and the opportunities available in the country.
