CEO Choi Yeon-hye, a former member of the National Assembly, was inaugurated as the 18th term president of the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) on December 9.

CEO Choi started her work by checking the safety situation of the LNG production bases and nine regional headquarters nationwide, including Pyeongtaek, Incheon, Tongyeong, and Samcheok, and establishing three task forces in the areas of organization, personnel, and business.
KOGAS is facing unprecedented crises such as unstable LNG supply and demand due to the recent global energy crisis and a sharp increase in debt ratio. From the first weekend after taking office, President Choi is expected to bring about sweeping changes to KOGAS as she takes care of various issues and conducts on-site inspections.

Meanwhile, the inauguration ceremony will be held at the head office of KOGAS located in Daegu Innovation City at 10 am on December 12.
