To commemorate the Pernod Ricard Group’s 11th Responsib’ALL Day, Pernod Ricard Korea made special efforts to support sustainable and responsible management.

Pernod Ricard Korea, the Korean unit of the global wine and spirits company Pernod Ricard, announced its implementation of a wellbeing campaign for its employees in celebration of this year’s global ‘Responsib’ALL Day’ on 16th June.

This day is part of Pernod Ricard’s global initiative Responsib’ALL Day, which marks its 11th anniversary this year. 19,000 employees around the world dedicate one day each year to actively contribute to the Group’s Sustainability & Responsibility Roadmap ‘Good Times from a Good Place’.

This year, the company conducted activities that promote the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of its employees and society in general under the theme of the ‘Wellbeing for Our People and Communities.’

Most notably, Pernod Ricard Korea carried out well-being training to help its employees better manage stress and nurture a positive mindset. The company invited Professor Kyung-il Kim, an expert in psychology, to explore the psychological issues that many modern people suffer from and share healthy ways to address them.

In addition, the company offered a hiking program to encourage psychological and physical wellbeing. All employees escaped their daily office routine for an outing on Namsan Mountain. The outing helped participants relieve tension and share the importance of creating a balanced lifestyle through small activities that can be practiced on a daily basis.

The company’s efforts at promoting wellbeing include not only the establishment of a culture of wellbeing among its employees, but also supporting wellbeing in society in general. Pernod Ricard Korea plans to collect welfare funds based on the number of steps employees take when hiking Namsan and donate to relevant associations. Each employee would generate 50,000 KRW and a total of 7.5 million KRW will be collected by employee contribution. On top of that, the company will double the amount of the fund through fund matching. A total of 15 million KRW is estimated to be collected.

CEO Frantz Hotton of Pernod Ricard Korea commented, “Pernod Ricard Group has celebrated Responsib’All Day for the last 11 years by performing a variety of CSR activities in conjunction with local communities to support our four pillars of Sustainability & Responsibility. We hope that this year’s wellbeing theme can provide our employees, our partners, and the local communities who make up our industry and society with an opportunity to remember the importance of mental and physical wellbeing. Going forward, Pernod Ricard Korea will continue to serve as a responsible member of society.”

Pernod Ricard Group’s Responsib’All Day is an effort conducted around the world in line with its 2030 Sustainability and Responsibility roadmap 'Good Times from a Good Place.’ Pernod Ricard Group is working to practice S&R management at all stages of production from 'grain to glass.’ In June of this year, the company launched the ‘Drink More Water’ responsible drinking campaign both on- and offline to promote responsible consumption of its products. Furthermore, the company is offering the ‘Bar World of Tomorrow’ program to train bartenders and bar owners in sustainable bartending and responsible serving free of charge as it helps to entrench a culture of sustainable bar operation within the hospitality industry.
