SK Information Technology (SKIET) has established a globally advanced information protection system. The company plans to utilize this to secure new customers by increasing the security confidence of its customers.
SKIET announced on the 31st that it has acquired the ISO27001 (International Standard for Information Security Management System Certification) set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). With the recent certification of the Polish plant, the company has achieved a 100% security certification rate for all its business sites, following the certification of its plant in Jeungpyeong (2020) and China (2022).
ISO 27001 is a system for evaluating the systematic operation and management suitability of information protection by an accredited certification body and is considered the most authoritative international standard certification in the field. ISO 27001 requires an organization to pass a 114-item appropriateness audit in 14 areas. SKIET met the audit criteria by establishing a system to prevent and protect leakage of industrial technology and trade secrets.
SKIET has made various efforts to protect customer information. It has designated a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the headquarters, who reports to the CEO, and secured relevant specialized personnel. We regularly conduct internal inspections by analyzing possible risk factors at domestic and overseas business sites. We also continue to conduct security awareness activities for all employees, including in-house training.
This certification means that the capabilities of the system built by SKIET have been recognized. As the security of information acquired in the process of ordering industries is important, Separator plans to continue to make efforts to improve mutual trust in the collaboration process with customers.
