Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, operates domestic and international routes with hubs in Astana (NQZ) and Almaty (ALA). Since its inception in May 2002, the airline has a fleet of Airbus Family, Boeing and Embraer aircraft, including the A321L.

Air Astana was the first airline from Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Eastern Europe to be named "Four Star Airline" and "Best Airline in Central Asia & India" by Skytrax, the world's leading airline awards, in 2012, an honour it will hold for 12 consecutive years until 2023. The airline has also been awarded "Best Airline in Asia" and "Best Customer Service in Asia" by global travel website TripAdvisor for the past three consecutive years, and was named a 5-star airline in the "Major Regional Airline" category by APEX, the international non-profit aviation association, in 2019.

As one of the largest airlines in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region, Air Astana is committed to sustainable aviation, improving the digital passenger experience and redefining operational efficiency.

These efforts are not only reshaping the future blueprint of Kazakhstan's aviation industry, but also potentially cementing Air Astana's leadership in the region.

In the post-coronavirus era, Air Astana anticipates significant transformation in areas such as ESG principles, health and safety measures, employee well-being, and ongoing digitalisation, and is actively responding to market changes by continuing to invest in a fleet of highly efficient, advanced aircraft, implementing operational efficiency measures, researching cutting-edge technologies and sustainable aviation fuels to mitigate environmental impact, and leveraging innovative digital solutions to meet evolving market needs.

Air Astana is also committed to fostering an active and engaged workforce that values diversity, promotes employee well-being, and provides a safe and inclusive work environment to deliver a better customer experience.

As a gateway to Central Asia and the Caucasus region, AirAsia offers convenient connection schedules and flights, and is committed to enhancing connectivity between the regions by unlocking route potential through strategic marketing initiatives, building strong partnerships and ultimately capitalising on untapped opportunities.

Currently, Air Astana operates six flights a week between Almaty and Incheon using a wide-body Boeing 767, and has a codeshare agreement with Asiana Airlines on the same route. The airline already offers multiple connections to many destinations in Central Asia, including Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, and the Caucasus (Tbilisi in Georgia and Baku in Azerbaijan). In the future, we hope to resume operations on the Astana - Incheon route.
