The reception room at the Embassy was filled by many guests, mostly the prominent Tajik residents in Seoul and media representatives, including Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik and Vice Chairperson Joy Cho of The Korea Post media.

The impression the Korean guests got that day as the fact that, like the Korean people, the Tajiks also prepared a lot of food and delicacies and put them on the table. There were all sorts of fruits of Tajikistan, both fresh and dried, which mostly came pat to the Korean guests—although there were some, such as dried fruits, which were unique to the countries in Central Asia.

On this momentous occasion of President's Day in the Republic of Tajikistan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and your esteemed family. May all our citizens residing, studying, and working in the Republic of Korea be blessed with good health, prosperity, and happiness.

The designation of November 16 as "President's Day" holds profound significance, marking the commencement of a new era of statehood and the beginning of the newly elected President's duties on this fateful and defining day.

In this regard, the efforts and endeavors of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon are historic and momentous:

-Ending the devastating civil war and ushering in an era of peace, unity, stability, and harmony in society.

-Fortifying the foundations and pillars of national statehood, restoring government institutions, branches of political power, law enforcement agencies, legality, justice, and legal order in the country.

-Spearheading constitutional reforms, overhauling the legal system, and developing and adopting the new Constitution of independent Tajikistan, along with actively initiating and promoting the enactment of new national laws.

-Taking bold steps and initiatives to address global water issues, advancing water diplomacy, and garnering support from influential international organizations and the global community.

-Ensuring the sustainable development of society, driving economic progress, raising the standard of living for the people, and alleviating poverty.

-Securing energy independence for the country, eliminating electricity supply restrictions.

-Breaking free from communication isolation and transforming Tajikistan into a transit country.

-Guaranteeing the country's food security, establishing production of high-quality domestic products, and ensuring the availability of essential goods.

-Rapidly industrializing the nation to foster economic stability.

-Strengthening the national identity, self-awareness, religious consciousness, and patriotism among the people, while reviving heritage and preserving historical and cultural traditions.

-Formulating a successful foreign policy, representing Tajikistan with dignity on the international stage, adopting an open-door policy, and pursuing mutually beneficial cooperation with countries worldwide on the principles of equality and non-interference in internal affairs.

Today, the noble people of Tajikistan recognize that the Leader of the Nation, despite the challenges and obstacles faced, is steadfastly mobilizing all resources and opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the population.

May the sun of freedom and independence continue to shine its blessings and light upon the families of our beloved country, Tajikistan, forever!

Happy President's Day!
