Distinguished guests,

Dear Ambassadors and colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps,

Dear friends,

I am particularly honored for accepting our invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the Romanian artist exhibition, Mrs. Mirela Trăistaru.

For the very beginning, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for their support in organizing this cultural event, which takes place in 3 different cities: Daejeon, Incheon, and Seoul, to Mr. Kwang Hee Hong, the president of 2 important companies: New Korea Trading Corporation and Korea Trade Intelligence. I appreciate his elegance in solving many problems.

Id also like to thank the Romanian Honorary Consul in Incheon, Mr. Minseok Ko, for his tenacity; Mrs. Helen Kim and Mr. Joong Hyun Jough for their excellent involvement in finding the best solutions during the preparation of this event; and, of course, our sponsors today, Hoseo University and Art Space Hoseo.

The story of these events started last year in November, and we managed, with the support of our sponsors, to finalize everything in such a short period of time.

Dear audience,

When I started my journey as an ambassador in this wonderful and very challenging country, one of my main priorities was to promote Romanian art and culture, because I really believe that the Korean citizens must know my country better.

About the artist, Mirela Trăistaru!

She is very well-known not only for her personal and group exhibitions, but also for rich theatre, cinema, and television activities, through her participation in international festivals, seminars, and creation workshops. More than that, she created huge and impressive mural paintings for important institutions.  Mirela Trăistaru has over 75 personal exhibitions and 150 group exhibitions, and she has a PhD in Visual Arts, specifically in body painting!

Nature blooming is a source of her artistic inspiration.  The main character in her works is the beholder, who explores, finds, and experiences beauty for himself.  Her artwork is a chromatic diary!  She has works in different private collections all over the world. From Europe, including France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, and Croatia, to China, Japan, South Korea and the US.

And, most importantly, Mirela Trăistaru was exposed in Seoul in 2019, and now she is back here to promote a small piece of Romanian art and win back the Korean people.

Thank you all, and wish Mirela a huge success!
