Moon to clinch ‘Denuclearization of North Korea’ at Moon-Kim talks Friday

President Moon Jae-in is expected to seek to clinch North Korea’s declaration of its denuclearization at his meeting with Chairman Kim Jong-un in Panmunjom on April 27, 2018. The working-level officials of the two sides are known to be finalizing the document of agreement between the two leaders—leaving the question to the two leaders to decide directly at their meeting.
Whether North Korea will carry out its denuclearization is said to have been left for the two leaders to decide at their meeting at Panmunjonm on April 27. This was reported by Korean-langauge daily, Chosun Ilbo, this morning.
A key official of the Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae disclosed that two of the three main topics of discussion, namely establishment of system of peace between the two sides, improvement of inter-Korean relations and denuclearization, have been agreed upon but that the last item (denuclearization of North Korea) has been left to President Moon and Chairman Kim to decide directly.
