State of the Nation Address by President Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan

On October 5th, Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan delivered State of the Nation Address: Growing welfare of Kazakh citizens - Increase in income and quality of life.
The message of the President to the people of Kazakhstan has become a practical response to current social needs of society. It is an exceptional document in its meaning and content, defining a holistic strategy of actions for state bodies, business and society.
The key goal is to increase the welfare of Kazakhstan, in particular, raising the minimum wages in medical and social sectors, continuing the business roadmap, measures for resolving housing issues and etc.
For implementation of the tasks of State of the Nation Address, an important and responsible role is assigned to the effective activity of the state apparatus and the participation of Kazakhstan people in the processes of transformation in the country. It is important to note that the priority of state policy was marked by the comprehensive support of youth and the institution of the family, and in this regard the next year 2019 was declared as the year of youth.
Primary attention will be paid to expanding the business environment and protecting the business from administrative pressure. The action of the Business Roadmap is extended until 2025, a tax amnesty has been declared for small and medium businesses, a direct investment fund is being created.
This measure, while paying the principal amount of the tax, will allow small and medium businesses to clear the debt on fines and penalties and literally start work from scratch.
It is noteworthy that this large-scale historical document was proposed in the context of a difficult economic and geopolitical situation in the world. And this once again showed the foresight of the Head of State, his historical courage, which consists in using objective challenges and risks to consolidate the people and bring the country to a new level of development.
