Director Seo Hyo-seok, 76, of Pyunkang Korean Medicine Hospital was elected as the 8th president of the Korean Baduk (Go) Federation (KBF).
The KBF announced on March 8 that Seo Hyo-seok has been confirmed as its 8th president with the final approval of the KBF Election Management Commission and the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee.
Seo Hyo-seok, who is the 6th level of amateur Baduk, has served as vice president of Kyunghee University Alumni Association, advisor to the Korean Baduk Federation, director of Korea Baduk Association, and director of the Inter-Korean Medical Cooperation Foundation.
President Seo said, "I will establish a mid- to long-term development plan for the future of Korean Baduk, and I will become a chairman who directly communicates with the Korean Baduk Federation to secure an independent economy and harmonize the Baduk world."
