Chairman Choi Chul-hong of Boram Group was selected as Korea’s representative person who led customer-oriented management at the ‘People & Management Who Lighted the Korean Economy in 2022’ awards ceremony. In addition, Boram Group received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award in recognition of its efforts to create jobs.
An official from the Boram Group said, "Chairman Choi Chul-hong has led the Boram Group for the past 32 years and has always put the customer first with the philosophy of 'customer-centered sharing management'." Also he said, “Choi has introduced the ‘price reconnaissance system’ for the first time in the industry to eliminate the price bubble of existing funeral supplies, and has played a pioneering role in changing the funeral service market by improving the quality of funeral services."
An official from the Boram Group continued, "We have also carried out various sharing projects for the socially disadvantaged. With the idea of 'Mutuality is sharing,' we launched the Boram Mutual Aid Social Volunteer Corps in 2012 and continue volunteering activities in connection with the local community every year. To revitalize and promote public health, we established the 'Boram Hallelujah' table tennis team and expanded the scope of social contribution to sports."
In addition, "Boram Life Ping-pong (B.L.P) Volunteer Corps, the first sports volunteer group in the mutual aid industry, was launched with the collaboration of the Boram Mutual Aid Social Volunteer Corps and Boram Hallelujah to continue social contribution without distinction in areas such as various talent donation activities and delivery of table tennis equipment." he said.
Boram Group has achieved innovations in funeral services, such as introducing the 'Lincoln Continental Cadillac Escalade' funeral limousine service for the first time in Korea and operating the 'Boram Funeral Director Training Center', a nationally certified educational institution, based on Korea's representative mutual aid brand 'Boram Mutualism'.
