To create MG-style world community credit cooperatives

MG Community Credit Cooperatives (MGCCC) celebrated its 60th anniversary at its central hall in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 2.

At the anniversary ceremony, which was attended by representatives from 13 domestic and foreign countries and many invited guests, Chairman Park Cha-hoon said in his commemorative speech, "We will create the Community Credit Cooperatives that grows sustainably by adding globalization to the win-win pursued by our company."

He also said, “We will continue to transfer our advanced financial inclusion model to financially excluded areas around the world.”

Chairman Park suggested various directions for the next one hundred years, such as @ dissemination of the cases of its success in foreign countries @ the need to create a world community credit cooperatives @ and resolving the digital exclusion of financially excluded areas through collaboration with UN ESCAP. .

As it celebrates its 60th anniversary, the MG CCC has been engaged in a wide range of international exchange activities. It attended the European Association of Cooperative Banks (EACB) General Assembly on behalf of Korean financial cooperatives and established a cooperation system with Rabobank, a leading Dutch financial cooperative.

At the 60th Anniversary International Conference, the cooperatives shared its vision with international guests.

The MG CCC attended the EACB General Assembly at Rabobank's headquarters in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on August 8-9 to discuss mutual cooperation.

The EACB is an organization established in 1970 to represent the common interests of cooperative banks and lead the global cooperative movement.

The organization has 23 member institutions in Europe, Desjardins Canada, and the Agriculture and Forestry Central Bank of Japan, and the MG CCC is the only representative from Korea.
