Fulmuwon Foods (CEO Chun Young-hoon) announced on the 30th that it was selected as a company with excellent labor-management culture by the head of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office at the '2023 Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company' held at the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office Convention Room.

The 'Excellent Company for Labor-Management Culture Certification System' is a system hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and administered by the Korea Foundation for Labor-Management Initiatives, which grants certification to companies that have exemplarily practiced a cooperative labor-management culture and a win-win labor-management culture. Starting in 1996, a total of 40 companies were selected this year, including 13 small and medium-sized enterprises, 15 large enterprises, and 12 public institutions.

Fulmu Foods was selected as a company with excellent labor-management culture in recognition of its efforts to improve labor-management practices and implement various labor-management cooperation programs to establish transparent and fair labor relations.

Based on the spirit of neighborly love and respect for life, Fulmu Foods eliminates confrontation and conflictual labor-management relations, and resolves business crises through amicable consultations with each other.

In particular, the company was highly praised for its active consultation to maintain employment even in the midst of the business crisis caused by the coronavirus in 2020. Pulmuwon Foods granted 100% paid leave to its school lunch sales staff, even though its sales fell by 30-40% due to the suspension of school lunch, a major sales channel.

Pulmuwon has diversified communication channels between management and employees for open management.

The open committee (labor-management council) held quarterly explains the management status and operates a council for healthy development between labor and management. Through the council, we have decided to apply voluntary dress codes in 2021 and to use mandatory days off. In addition, we select members of special organizations, such as working mothers, to hold regular meetings outside of work and management meetings through meals to develop a culture of labor-management cooperation.

In addition, we are making various efforts to support employees' work-life balance.

In 2014, we opened a 150-square-foot, fully staffed children's center at our headquarters in Suseo, where the ratio of teachers to children is about twice the statutory ratio, enabling high-quality close childcare. The company also operates a flexible work system by establishing autonomous work schedules, including a staggered commute system for employees with children and the introduction of a telecommuting system for employees who need to work from home due to personal circumstances.

The company also operates customized package programs for working dads and working mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and childrearing, such as 'pregnancy working hours reduction', 'prenatal checkup leave (including spouses)', and 'automatic childcare leave system', to encourage them to actively utilize them. In recognition of these programs, Fulmu Foods was selected as a 'Family Friendly Certified Company' by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2020.

In addition, we are actively improving the labor welfare and working environment of our employees. Some floors of the headquarters office were built as 'smart offices' to improve work efficiency through a comfortable working environment. The company has eliminated the fixed seating system and allowed employees to collaborate in a free and equal position to increase creativity and productivity.

Pulmuwon not only strives for labor-management culture, but also conducts various activities for win-win cooperation with suppliers. Since 2007, Pulmuwon has been holding the 'Pulmuwon Best Partners Day' for the 14th time to invite partners to share their business direction and vision and strengthen their commitment to win-win cooperation. Last year, the company held the 'Best Partners Day' for the first time in three and a half years after it was suspended following COVID-19, and discussed win-win cooperation and shared growth.

"This selection as an excellent labor-management culture company is the result of our efforts to maintain transparent and fair labor relations based on the spirit of neighborly love and respect for life," said Cheon Young-hoon, CEO of Pullmu Foods. "We will continue to strive to spread a labor-management culture of win-win cooperation throughout society by exemplarily practicing a labor-management culture of win-win cooperation."

Meanwhile, Fulmu Foodmers is a food distribution company specializing in customized customer lifecycle based on the principle of right food. It supplies food products to daycare centers, kindergartens, schools, industrial companies, hospitals, welfare centers, nursing facilities, military units, and food service companies, centering on its specialized brands 'Full Skies' and 'Full Skitchen'.
