"Trade between Korea and India is growing rapidly"
The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea held its Annual General Meeting on 8 March and elected Mr Ramesh Vishwanath Iyer, Country Head, Tata consultancy services Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, as its new Chairman.
For the next two years, the incoming Chairman will represent ICCK externally to its members and affiliated organisations and internally to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Ramesh Vishwanath Iyer said in his inaugural address,
"Trade between Korea and India is growing rapidly, and with India's continued economic growth and Korea's opening up of its investment market to India, ICCK must increase its connectivity and positive influence on all its members and bilateral trade actors to promote economic activity," he said. "ICCK will do its best to ensure that every member organisation receives practical assistance," he added.
Biography of Mr. Ramesh Biswanath Iyer, Chairman:
Ramesh Vishwanath Iyer has extensive experience in the technology consulting industry across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. As the Country Head of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Korea, he works to drive growth through client leadership and collaboration in Korea, and to improve client profitability through digital transformation. He holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications and has successfully delivered large-scale projects across multiple geographies, including Singapore.
He is passionate about leading diverse and talented teams, collaborating with global partners, and driving excellence and innovation. In his previous role, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he worked closely with banking and financial services clients across Europe, leveraging AI/ML solutions to optimise the throughput of their risk and compliance regimes.
Having worked for over decade and a half in the technology consulting industry spanning North America, Europe and now Asia pacific, Ramesh focuses on delivering innovative solutions that transform businesses and create positive social impact. As the Country Head at TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), he engages with client leadership in South Korea to nurture alliances, foster growth, and shape outcomes for clients by improving their bottom line via digital transformation. He has a Bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunication, & has successfully delivered several large-scale projects across geographies, providing strategic, functional, and technical direction on key engagements. He has also completed an Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD Singapore.
