The Korean government’s participation in the joint statement is in line with its decision to actively join the international community’s efforts to resolve the crisis through peaceful means as one of its responsible members.

Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo said, “Korea, as a responsible member of the international community, will strive towards strengthening the WTO’s multilateral system and the implementation of trade agreements, while also joining in the efforts of the international community in accordance with today’s joint statement.”
