Chairman Yoon Hong-gun of Genesis BBQ announced a drastic increase in the annual salary of new university graduates by 33% compared to the previous year, citing "Best Talent, Best Treatment, and Best Restaurant Company" as the value of management in 2023.

Chairman Yoon declared on Jan. 4, "We will open a new era of talent management that fosters young and fresh talent with the best treatment in the franchise industry and innovates into the world's largest and best restaurant company."

According to Yoon's management policy, BBQ raised the annual salary of new college graduates by 33.5 percent from 34 million won (based on field operations and sales) to 45.4 million won.

According to BBQ, the annual salary increase for new employees exceeds the level of the chicken franchise industry, which has an average annual salary of 33 million won based on new employees. It is close to the average annual salary of most Korean conglomerates.

Chairman Yoon said, "We need to move forward through bolder and new innovative management to overcome domestic and foreign economic crises such as global inflation and interest rate hikes. We made the decision because it was important to secure excellent talent with potential."

In addition, Chairman Yoon said on the same day, "Let's be reborn as a comprehensive IP restaurant culture company through bold and new innovations that break the existing framework."

To this end, Yoon expressed his willingness to develop Genesis BBQ Group into a "geometric company" through re-management by reorganizing it into an organizational culture centered on individual capabilities and achieving performance, and providing reasonable rewards to talented people.

In his New Year's address on Jan. 1, Chairman Yoon suggested △ achieving No. 1 in the domestic market △ expanding into global markets △ expanding into IP (intellectual property) and content company △ improving agile organizational culture (Agile BBQ) as this year's management goal.

BBQ plans to overhaul its consumer convenience-oriented app (APP) and web (WEB) by introducing subscription services and providing differentiated membership benefits for the first time in the industry in line with Chairman Yoon's New Year management goals and policies.

In addition, it aims to accelerate its 'leap into a global BBQ' by combining various overseas business activities to achieve the world's No. 1 company.
